A Sioux Falls man was arrested Wednesday morning after assaulting a family member and sending three Sioux Falls police officers to the hospital.

The incident happened at 3205 N. Lewis Avenue in Sioux Falls when a teenager left the house to go to a neighbor to call 911 to report that their uncle was beating up their grandmother.

The suspect left the house, but returned as police arrived and fought with officers,  sending three to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

31-year old Rocky Traversie Jr. has been arrested and charged with domestic assault and three counts of assault on law enforcement. Traversie did not use a weapon.
