Sioux Falls Man Accused of Kicking Apartment Door. Think Alcohol Was Involved?

Police say a Sioux Falls man thought his cellphone was in another apartment in his building, so he tried to kick the door in.

But the phone wasn't in there and he wound up being arrested.

Officer Sam Clemens says it was around 10pm Tuesday in a building in the 200 block of North Cliff Avenue.

Clemens says the man broke part of the door, but he was unable to get in. He says the two occupants know each other and the man, who had been drinking, thought his cell phone was in the other unit.

Clemens says Primitivo Gray, 49, was charged with attempted burglary and intentional damage to property.

The 51-year-old woman in the apartment was not injured.
