She Walked by Faith, Not by Sight – DeSmet Resident Overcomes Blindness to Write Book

It's amazing the people you meet when you work in radio. One of those amazing people is Jenny Peterson.

You might remember Jenny as Daycare Lady. She used to call in to the Kickin' Country Cafe and request a song and occasionally remind me to "keep in line." You might be thinking, Daycare Lady, sure, what's the catch.

Here's the thing, for 33 years Daycare Lady was legally blind.

Over the years Jenny would call to share stories of things going on in her hometown of DeSmet, SD. She also kept me up to speed as she chased after doctors to get her eyesight back.

After many trips to hospitals around the country and of course leaps and bounds in the medical field, she can see again. Jenny stopped into Kickin' Country Tuesday, February 24, 2015 to give us an update on her eyesight and her new book appropriately titled, She Walked By Faith, Not By Sight. Here is a quick recap of her story.
