What happens when a Sioux Falls family loses everything in a fire at their home? More than likely the Sioux Falls Firefighters Benevolent Foundation will step up to help, because that is what they do.

For decades the SFFBF has made it their mission to help families who have suffered losses in fires. They also support retired firefighters and their families with life's necessities (food, housing, medical assistance) when misfortune finds them. Lastly, they donate their time, hearts, talents, and funds to multiple charitable organizations, who also assist and comfort people in need.

You can be a part of this fulfilling mission, pay tribute to and help them raise additional funds just by joining in the upcoming Sioux Falls Firefighters Benevolent Foundation Gala and Auction on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Sioux Falls Convention Center from 6 to 11 PM. They'll have a delicious assortment of heavy appetizers, live and silent auctions, and music and dancing with one of the best bands in Sioux Falls, Goodroad!

Tickets are available online, but hurry, they are going fast for this first-time event! (Ticket sales end April 22, 2017) You can even sponsor a firefighter couple for $100, get a table sponsorship or donate directly to the firefighters. You also have the option of sponsoring a brick for the Firefighter's Memorial Park or making a direct donation for its construction.

One final project in conjunction with the SFFBF Gala and Auction, is the collection of sunscreen, insect repellent and toilet paper for The Banquet's guests for the upcoming spring and summer seasons. Your donations of these items may be brought with you to the event or dropped off at Fire station #3 at 37th and Minnesota Avenue.
