Jazzfest wasn't the only thing busy over the weekend in Sioux Falls, thanks to the blast furnace outside, Wild Water West was slammed too!

KDLT News is reporting the 90 degree temps had residents all over the Sioux Empire heading to Wild Water West to catch a wave of fun.

Thanks to Saturday's heat and humidity, more than 250 people were already lined up at Wild Water West even before the gates opened according to KDLT News.

Wild Water West Marketing Manager Emily McNamara told KDLT, “It’s definitely a bonus for us; we love to have our park full of people. It’s definitely better than those colder days that we had in June. So we get excited when it’s hot weather.”

McNamara said the weekends are typically the busiest days for the water park located just southwest of Sioux Falls, and thanks to the scorcher Mother Nature was serving up on Saturday, hundreds of people were hitting the wave pool and waterslides to stay cool.

Wild Water West is open daily from 11 AM to 8 PM.

The next time you visit Wild Water West, make sure you bring along plenty of sunscreen, and please remember to stay hydrated while enjoying the water park, especially on those really hot days like last Saturday.
