Sara Evans: ‘Slow Me Down, Behind the Scenes with Carl Edwards
Carl Edwards may have a successful career away from the #99 Ford Fusion if he so chooses. Crew chief or ESPN race analyst?
Perhaps. But, how about a music video actor?
Edwards was contacted by Sara Evan’s team for her new music video, ‘Slow Me Down’ just days before the shoot and accepted the part.
He admitted to the Kansas City Star that is was difficult to act in a painful situation, such as a breakup.
After every take, I’d have to apologize to her and say I was sorry. We ran out of things to argue about. It looks like we’re fighting. Some of it was, ‘Hey, I really like blueberries in my pancakes. I can’t believe you didn’t put blueberries in my pancakes!’ We were just trying to come up with things to argue about.” – Carl Edwards
Both Edwards and Evans are both Missouri natives.
Sara was as nice and down to earth as she seems,” Edwards said in a news release. “She amazed me with how much heart she put into this song. We had a lot of fun shooting the video and I hope everyone enjoys it.”
Here’s the finished official music video as released on Wednesday, October 23.
Edwards is no stranger to appearing in music videos. He starred in Justin Moore’s “Bait a Hook” video last year.
