If you're tired of chain restaurants and you want to send your taste buds on a culinary roller coaster, you have to try Sanaa's 8th Street Gourmet, downtown at 401 East 8th Street. Sanaa Abourezk is the owner. The restaurant specializes in Mediterranean cuisine and is known for its 10 course buffet Friday nights and Saturdays for lunch.

Everything is made from scratch with fresh ingredients and fresh ground spices. They serve vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Sanaa attended cooking school in Florence, Italy, as well as the Cordon Bleu Baking School in Paris, France. She knows how to cook good food!

Sanaa is going to be in the national spotlight. She'll appear on the Food Network show, Beat Bobby Flayon March 3. If you haven't seen an episode of the show, here's how the Food Network website describes it:

The stakes are high as Chopped host Ted Allen and Cooking Channel host Kelsey Nixon step into the arena and decide which chef has the culinary gumption to take down Bobby. Will it be Syrian chef Sanaa Abourezk or Philadelphia's hottest chef, Matt Levin?

HearYe HearYe I will be on Food Network"s "Beat Bobby Flay" on March 3rd 9 ET. So mark the date and watch the show. You will love it.
