One of the biggest fundraisers of the year in the Sioux Empire is coming up this Sunday: the Avera Foundation, J&L Harley-Davidson "Ride Pink Poker Run" to benefit the Avera Cancer Institute.

This Sunday (August 20) people from all over the area will be riding with a purpose, riding for breast cancer awareness.  It's your chance to ride for your mom, grandmother, sister, father, best friend, yourself, anyone that has fought and continues to fight the battle with breast cancer.

KSFY TV is reporting that you can pre-register for the Ride Pink Poker Run until Saturday (August 19). The cost to pre-register is $20. The first 200 registrants receive a route map, one poker hand, a FREE lunch at the J&L Harley-Davidson Snack Shack, and a 2017 Ride Pink bandanna.

Riders are also able to register the day of the event from 11:00-1:00 PM at J&L Harley-Davidson. The cost to register that day will be $25.00. Definitely money well spent as all the funds go to support an organization dedicated and determined to finding a cure.

According to KSFY TV, this year's Ride Pink Poker Run route will take you on a trek that is about 95 miles. Something else that is really cool, the ride is open to all types of motorcycles and vehicles.

The event ends up at McNally’s Irish Pub at 69th and Western Avenue with a family friendly wrap-up party that includes food, live music, door prizes and an assortment of giveaways, like a $500 cash prize for first place!
