This weekend's RibFest will feature some of the best ribs from around the world, cold beer and plenty of rock-n-roll. In fact, some of the finest 70's and 80's rockers to ever grace the planet will be plugged in at the W.H. Lyon Fairground May 29th - June 1st.

Foghat, Head East, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rick Springfield, Loverboy, April Wine, and more. Yes, I'm fans of them all and have road-tripped countless miles with my cassette tape case.

Awesome. I'm ready. I'm workin' for the weekend. But the exclusive rock only line-up leaves many asking, "Where's the country music?"

We asked fans to give us their opinion on this years RibFest on our Facebook page. Here's a sampling of comments:

Janelle Nagel Holsing - I am sad about it. RibFest has always been a nice FAMILY event with a great mix of performers. RibFest is now a Rock Fest serving ribs.
Lindsey Tilton Roemen - Country. Music AND ribs kinda go together!
Julie Neuharth Jacobs - I love country music but seriously, it's not the only music out there and other types of music have just as much right to be heard as country. A lot of people enjoy the older rock and roll, including myself.
Laura Osterberg - We went every year for the ribs and to see a country music concert. We won't be going this year. Out of all the nights Ribfest is here, why couldn't there be one night with country music?
Dione Steuerwald Gerdes - Agreed no variety! Way bummed.
Jessica Johnson Missing the country. Because of the lineup will not be attending RibFest and I've only ever missed one year before this.

RibFest is still a great event for Sioux Falls and will draw huge crowds. You can purchase your tickets at the Sioux Falls Arena box office during normal business hours and save yourself the ticketmaster fees or you can order through ticketmaster here.
