The norther part of downtown Sioux Falls will see new development in the future, and you can have a say.

Officials want input from residents to help guide them in the planning of the old railyard between 6th street and 10th street.

Planners hope to draw retail, entertainment, more hotel space and resident housing.

City of Sioux Falls Director of Planing & Building Services Mike Cooper says the meetings will take place Wednesday, August 31, and Thursday, September 1 at the downtown library starting at 5 p.m. both days.

Development of the property could start as early as spring 2018.
