Another construction project in the city of Sioux Falls is planned for 2018.

Sioux Falls residents who live and work in the area of Louise Avenue and Madison street will get a first look at the reconstruction project on Monday, November 6th from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sioux Falls Convention Center.

The City of Sioux Falls Public Works Engineering Division and HR Green, Inc. will host the public open house.

The open house will be informal, allowing for one-on-one discussion with the design team.

The Madison Street and Louise Avenue Improvements project will reconstruct Madison Street from Louise Avenue to the Big Sioux River, and Louise Avenue from Madison Street to Mulberry Street.

A new pedestrian bridge is planned to span the Big Sioux River south of the existing street bridge. ADA improvements are planned as part of this improvement project.

Design is currently underway, and construction of the recommended improvements is planned for 2018.
