Be advised that parking space will be a little tight around the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center on Saturday night. Also no big bags are allowed.

This upcoming weekend Jason Aldean will perform to a sold-out audience. Meanwhile Augustana University will host Men’s and Women’s Basketball in the adjacent Sioux Falls Arena.

Chris Semrau Assistant General Manager of the PREMIER Center says being proactive will help inform people of some logistical issues for the concert audience. “Come early on Saturday. With the other events going on around the complex, parking will be a little tighter than normal. We do have the doors opening at 6:00 PM which is 90 minutes prior to the start of the concert.”

Additionally, Semrau wants people to know about what you can carry into the show. “There will be a bag restriction for this event which is the first time we’ve had such a restriction. Leave you big purses in the car. Bring only your necessary items in with you. They will be doing bag searches upon arrival so save yourself the hassle.”

According to Semrau, the safety measures are necessary and will be more commonplace going forward. “You want people to feel safe and to be safe, but you don’t want to hinder the guest experience. That is the exact balance we are trying to strike.” The maximum bag size allowed during events going forward will be 13" by 15" and 6" deep.

Aldean marks the first artist to sell out shows on consecutive tours at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. His concert in October of 2014 was the first major event to be held in the facility.
