UPDATE: Police continue to search for Jared Jerome Stone in connection with a shooting an death of a 28-year-old Paul Baptise Whiteeyes Friday night (April 22, 2016).

Authorities also have a warning for anyone who may be harboring Stone and other suspects regarding this incident with a reminder that felony charges can be brought against someone harboring or assisting a fugitive.

Whiteeyes last known address was the penitentiary in Sioux Falls. It is believed that Stone and Whiteeyes knew each other before the altercation and subsequent shooting.

Police are also searching for a woman, believed to have been driving a stolen car with Stone just prior to the shooting. Lachara Marie Bordeaux, 26, is Native American, 5’6 and 135 pounds.

The vehicle driven by Stone was located  near 26th Street and Pendar Lane at 12:24 AM on Saturday (April 23, 2016), a 1999 Chevy Lumina and it was reported as stolen several hours after the incident occurred.

An arrest warrant is being completed for the suspect for murder. Stone is still at large and considered armed and dangerous.

Sioux Falls Police continue to search for Jared Jerome Stone in connection with the death of another man just before 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2016.

The victim, a 28 year old, Native American male sustained a gunshot wound to the head after a physical confrontation took place in the parking lot of the Lucky Lady Casino at 11th Street and Duluth Avenue.

The victim was transported to a Sioux Falls hospital where he later died from his wounds.

The suspect is a 20 year old  5'7 Native American male, weighing 150 lbs, with black hair. He was last seen wearing a black short sleeve t-shirt, gold chain with a cross, black Minnesota Twins hat, and dark colored jeans.

Stone is considered armed and dangerous and police say the public should not attempt to approach him.
