If you really want to incur the wrath of an entire community, mess with their pets. Police in Lakeview, Minnesota are investigating multiple reports of someone intentionally trying to harm their pets.

Pet owners in this sleepy community are finding some alarming things being  thrown in their yards at night, including balls of steel wool with capsules inside, nails in hot dogs, and screws in dog treats.

According to the Associated Press, one woman says eleven screws and open safety pins were surgically removed from her dogs and is facing a $3,000 vet bill.

At this time, no arrests have been made but the residents are keeping a watchful eye in their neighborhoods for anything suspicious.

The Lakeview police are treating this as a criminal case.
