Sioux Falls police are investigating a weekend burglary at a cellphone business in the 700 block of West 41st Street.

Officer Sam Clemens says it happened around 2:10am Saturday at Next 2 New Wireless++:

Clemens says serial numbers could make the phones difficult to sell in the U.S., but he says he's heard some stolen phones end up overseas, where the serial numbers would not help police trace them.

"There was a window broken in that window and there were about 30 phones that were taken, they didn't have an exact number, but they were going to do some checking. Valued at around $3,000. They have some surveillance... that showed 2 people enter the store."

He says the brands of the stolen cellphones were not available, although he says some display cases in the store were not touched, so the thieves knew what they were looking for.
