‘Patsy Cline’ in Sioux Falls
One of the greatest female singers in Country Music will be coming to Sioux Falls…in the form of a musical. The Comfort Theater Company will be presenting “Always…Patsy Cline” at the Orpheum Theater in Downtown Sioux Falls.
The musical stars Kaija Bonde as the great Patsy Cline. Along with a 6 piece band made up of some premiere South Dakota musicians, Bonde will be singing “Walking After Midnight”, “Crazy” and “Sweet Dreams”, along with 24 other songs that will take the audience down memory lane.
“Always…Patsy Cline” is the true story about the friendship between Patsy Cline and Louise Segar. Segar, who is played by actress Jill Johnson, is a loyal fan of Cline. The two ladies become friends and penpals until Cline’s death from a plane crash in 1963. This musical is based on the letters that Cline used to send to Segar, and the title is taken from closing signatures of the letters, “Always…Patsy Cline”.
This is a family friendly show at the Orpheum Theater in Sioux Falls, with plenty of music and even some audience participation. It runs 2 nights only, Friday, September 27 and Saturday, September 28.
