Enjoy a day on the water and amazing scenery of the National Park Service’s Missouri National Recreation River during the inaugural Fort to Field 50 Paddle Battle this Saturday, July 19th.

This 50-mile paddling race is for kayakers and canoeists against all the wild, windy aspects of an amazingly scenic river.  The Fort to Field 50 takes its name from its start, the Fort Randall Dam, and its finish, Springfield SD’s newly improved marina.

Races will be required to stop at three checkpoints along the route.  Cost to enter is $55 per person.  $100 for tandem teams.  All money raised will cover costs and then go towards cleanup and awareness efforts on the Missouri National Recreational River.

Registration details here.
