Out of Body Experience

Virtual reality is reportedly on the verge of being able to take you where few have gone before; beyond the realm of the living - possibly past death.

Researchers have created virtual reality headgear to simulate death and the out of body experience some have reported after being revived from cardiac arrest.

Using V-R headgear, mirrors and vibrating body sensors, the program made them feel as if they were detaching from their bodies and floating above themselves.

And the results were surprising. The subjects in the experiment emerged less afraid of dying; a result often reported by people who claim real out of body experiences.
