Saturday night, I emceed the Washington High School Grand March for Prom. If you have a graduate in the house this year, you know it's a busy, busy time!  Proms now, graduation coming soon!

Monday morning found me skimming the newspaper this morning before work. Every once in a while, when I'm feeling educated and well read, I like to take a look at what's selling in the world of literature. Most of the top sellers don't appeal to me. I do however like to look a the books on the list that I might see my wife carrying around.

One of the books on the list caught my eye. It's the classic by Dr. Seuss, Oh, The Places You'll Go. I can't tell you how many graduation lines I've been in, waiting to congratulate a young scholar and I see the book, time and time again. Oh, The Places You'll Go. Admittedly, the book has some awesome quotes:

“You'll get mixed up, of course, as you already know. You'll get mixed up with many strange birds as you go. So be sure when you step. Step with care and great tact and remember that Life's a Great Balancing Act. Just never forget to be dexterous and deft. And never mix up your right foot with your left.”
Dr. Seuss, Oh, The Places You’ll Go!

If you have a graduation party to attend this year, check the pile of gifts on the table. I'll bet there's a good chance the book is there!

“You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself any direction you choose.”
