O’Gorman, Dell Rapids Lead Boys State Golf Tournaments

Sioux Falls O’Gorman and Dell Rapids are the first round leaders in the 2013 South Dakota boys state AA and A golf tournaments.

The Knights lead Class AA with a team score of 289, five strokes ahead of Brandon Valley and Sioux Falls Lincoln which are tied at 294.

O’Gorman’s Max Donohue is atop the individual leader board after carding a first round 67, one stroke ahead of the Patriots’ Tommy Vining.

At the Class A Tournament, Dell Rapids has the team lead with a score of 323.  Aberdeen Roncalli and Madison are tied for second place at 328.

Michael Duch of Roncalli leads the individual standings at 72.  The Quarriers Adam Karst carded a 73, good for second.

Both tournaments conclude Tuesday with second round play.  The Class AA tournament is being played at the Brandon Municipal Golf Course and Class A at Central Valley in Hartford.
