Staggering statistics were revealed that showed quite a mass of humanity has experienced Sioux Falls’ newest attraction.  

SMG, the managing partner of the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center released a series of statistics that highlights how many people came through the doors in the first 30 days and how much they consumed while inside the brand new facility.

According to a press release, The PREMIER Center hosted 15 different public and private grand opening events, including the official ribbon cutting and public open houses which drew in more than 11,000 people.

Another 5,000 saw Joan Jett play and a sold out crowd witnessed the Grand Opening Concert with Jason Aldean and Florida Georgia Line (11,000 people).  One week later about 5,500 came for Demi Lovato with the Sioux Falls Stampede home opener pulling 10,600 people through the turnstiles.

Add it all together and over 40,000 people attended an event at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center just in the past three weeks alone.

According to Chad Stoner, General Manager of Ovations Food Service, which oversees the food and beverage operations of the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, said the amount of food served to those in attendance was impressive.

“We popped about one million kernels of corn, and poured enough beverages, 11,250 gallons, for one 8oz. cup for every resident of Sioux Falls and we sold about a mile of hot dogs—5,730 feet to be exact.”
