The Minnesota Vikings have announced that Norv Turner has resigned his position of offensive coordinator.

Norv was with the Vikings since the start of the 2014 season and the Mike Zimmer regime. The Vikings started 5-0 but following the bye week have managed to score a combined 20 points over the last two games.

Pat Shurmur will take over the offensive coordinator spot for the remainder of the season. Shurmur was the head coach for the Cleveland Browns from 2011-2012, and was also the interim head coach in Philadelphia in 2015. He joined the Vikings staff in 2016 as a tight ends coach.

Minnesota hosts Detroit this Sunday, November 6th at 12:00.
