No Children Found in Sioux Falls Water Search

Sioux Falls Fire Rescue and police crews conducted a water search Tuesday night after they got a report of a child near water.

The first report, around 8:30pm, said a 10-year-old boy had possibly fallen into fast-moving water at I-229 and Louise Avenue.

A later report said two children were there, but Battalion Chief Steve Brunette says no children were found.

Brunette says Fire Rescue and police crews searched several bodies of water in the area and downstream, but called off the search after about two hours.

He says they felt confident it had been a complete and thorough search.
