Question: How do you describe Willie Nelson?

Country music legend? No, he's more than that, more than a Hall of Fame Artist, more than arguably the greatest songwriter of the past 60 years.

How about 'Music Legend'? No, he's more than that, too. People who hate country music love Willie. People who swear they will only listen to the hardest of hard rock will, at least privately, crank up Willie and love it.

How about this: Willie is Willie, an American Treasure.

At 82 years young, Willie (and many, many of his friends joining him) continue's to release new music. But not just new music, great new music. While he could, of course, sit back and rest on the laurels of what is one of the most incredible career's in any form of music, Willie not only doesn't do that, he continue's to re-invent himself and never misses the mark.

Now, coming in February, the new 'Summertime: Willie Nelson Sings Gershwin' will be released. This time around, Willie give his unique interpretation on songs that are beyond classic, songs like 'Girl Crazy', 'Porgy and Bess', 'Let's Call The Whole Thing Off, and more Gershwin standards. Below, watch Willie perform the title cut 'Summertime'.

Perhaps it's apt since Willie became the first country (if you have to classify Willie, it would have to be country)  artist ever to receive the coveted Gershwin Prize For Popular Song in November.

The new album will be released February 26th. Until then, give a look and a listen to the great title cut. And thank you (again) Willie.
