Frank Grillo is about to make a big impression with his role as Crossbones in 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier,' but before that, check out his new horror role in the latest 'The Purge 2' trailer (the film being officially titled 'The Purge: Anarchy'). Grillo plays a character who seems to know how to handle a night of purging, but to what end?

‘The Purge 2′ also stars Zach Gilford, Kiele Sanchez, Michael K. Williams (‘RoboCop‘), Carmen Ejogo and Keith Stanfield. Though Universal hasn't issued a synopsis, according to Gilford in previous statements, “it’s the same day of the year and it takes place in the city where there are no security systems and it’s just like a war zone where people are just trying to survive.” James DeMonaco, who helmed the first film, returned to direct and script the sequel, as well.

As can be seen in this new trailer, they've definitely gone bigger for the follow up. Where the first film took place in one house over the course of a night, this spends time in a downtown setting, with more players, and more obvious threats. The first film was a big hit for Universal, as it was made for $3 million and had a spectacular $34 million opening weekend. The sequel was greenlit shortly thereafter, which allowed for this sequel to be written and shot in a year. ‘The Purge 2′ will commence July 18.
