Natalie Maines is at it again. The ever-outspoken Dixie Chicks singer turned to social media early Tuesday morning (April 4) to lecture President Donald Trump about what she perceives as his moral failings as a leader.

Maines' rant began at 2:23AM, when she tweeted, "Do you ever feel like you can’t escape the person that brings out the worst in you? @RealDonaldTrump, you’re mine, and I hate you for it.”

In a string of subsequent tweets, Maines took Trump to task, saying, "I'm just desperate for you to care about all people. Black, white, poor, rich, gay, straight. I need you to care," she writes, adding that in the end, that's all that matters: "How pure was your heart? Not how much $$ did you make?"

She even borrowed from Trump's own campaign slogan, asking him to "make American great for people who don't even know from great," saying that's what will make him a better person who "stops tweeting hatred and discrimination at 4AM."

"Just do right by human beings," she finishes.

Maines has been very outspokenly opposed to Trump ever since he announced his candidacy for the presidency, and the Dixie Chicks even lampooned the then-candidate onstage during their DCX MMXVI World Tour, flashing his picture altered with horns and a goatee to resemble a devilish creature as part of a montage of evil men in history.

The brash singer has never been one to back down from controversy. In 2003 she inadvertently created one of the biggest controversies in country music history in the run-up to the U.S. invasion of Irag, telling a London concert audience, "Just so you know, we’re on the good side with y’all. We do not want this war, this violence, and we’re ashamed that the President of the United States is from Texas."

The backlash from that statement had a permanent negative impact on the Chicks' career.
