A courtroom in Dover, Delaware heard strange and extremely eerie testimony from NASCAR star Kurt Busch on Tuesday in regards to former girlfriend Patricia Driscoll.

From the stand, Busch told the court that his ex-girlfriend is a trained assassin who was dispatched on covert missions around the world and once returned to him in a blood-splattered gown.

Busch said she repeatedly spoke of her undercover assassin job and claimed the work took her on missions across Central and South America and Africa.

Busch then recalled a time when they were in El Paso, TX. He said Driscoll left in camouflage gear only to return later wearing a trench coat over an evening gown covered with blood.

The former NASCAR champion, also known as "The Outlaw," said Driscoll was constantly showing him photos of bodies with gunshot wounds - a claim she did not deny under oath.

Then it gets even stranger.

Busch told the court Driscoll claimed to be a "mercenary who killed drug lords and that she was the inspiration for the main character in the motion picture Zero Dark Thirty."

Busch also testified that Driscoll once told him she worked for the U.S. government and claimed that she was "trained to take down foreign governments."

A personal assistant to the couple, Michael Doncheff, testifed that Driscoll once told him she worked for the U.S. government and at one time boasted “I take down foreign governments. I own Washington."

In an interview with FOX News late Tuesday, Driscoll called Busch's assertion "ludicrous," saying he took it "straight from a fictional movie script" she has been writing.

Everybody on the outside can tell me I'm crazy, but I lived on the inside and saw it firsthand." - Kurt Busch

Driscoll is seeking a no-contact order from the court claiming that Busch assaulted her in his motorhome at Dover International Speedway during a fall race in 2014. The NASCAR racer broke up with Driscoll a week before the Delaware race to focus on his racing and career saying she was "monopolizing his schedule."

Busch and his attorneys have denied the allegations, which are now the subject of a criminal investigation.

Is Patricia Driscoll simply a scorned woman hell-bent on destroying his career, or are Kurt Busch's claims true? As this one unfolds in a courtroom, the racing world will be watching.
