NASA Wants To Pay You $18,000
My dad always told me that staying in bed all day accomplishes nothing. That’s not necessarily true. I’m sending him this article.
NASA is looking for volunteers to spend 70 days in bed. The study will determine the effects of microgravity on the human body. The bed you will spend the time in will have a 6-degree tilt that will allow blood flow and other body fluids to shift similar to what is felt during real space flights.
Sounds rough, but here’s the cool part. NASA will pay you $18,000 if you make the cut from all the applicants.
Even if you make the “short list” that NASA will hand-select, you will need to pass an Air Force Class Three physical, and pass a 90-minute psychology test with a space-shrink-type-fella. Plus, you must be very healthy, according to NASA news chief Kelly Humphries.
However, I do have quite a few “Person of Interest”, “Big Bang Theory”, and other mind-numbing network shows on the DVR from last season I’ve meaning to watch.
Here’s the link to apply.
Good luck. And may, Howard Wolowitz be with you.
