My ‘Boots in the Sand’ Photo Album. Music, Mayan Ruins, Mojitos and More
Just wanted to extend a special welcome back for all the Kickin' Country fans who traveled to Riviera Maya, Mexico with us last week for 'Boots in the Sand.' A tropical vacation featuring Billy Currington, Jana Kramer, Dierks Bentley, and Brantly Gilbert.
I've included a few photos from the trip to help us deal with the cold back home. Enjoy.
Dierks Bentley thrilled from the first song to the encore performance.
Billy Currington was one of most anticipated artists of Tropical Nights. His set list included, 'Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right', 'People Are Crazy', 'Pretty Good at Drinkin' Beer', and 'Hey Girl'.
Brantley Gilbert brought his hard-edge country to the shores of the Caribbean for a night. He knows how to light it up!
Now for a little tropical scenery...
The Mayan ruins was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. Learning about their calendar, rituals, customs was fascinating. These ruins, on the cliffs overlooking the Caribbean, were originally built in 4 and 5 A.D.
Finally, my wife and I golfed at Playacar Golf Club just south of Cancun. We teed off at 7:15am and were a little surprised at the lemur-like mammals on the fairway. We learned that if you left a banana in the cart while teeing off, it was as good as gone. Sneaky little cute things!
