Subscribe to KIKN-FM / Kickin’ 100.5 on

Two Men and A Truck was started by two high school boys looking to earn some money with their muscles and a 1966 Ford truck.

When the boys moved to college the need for movers, and muscles continued. The boys’ mom, Mary Ellen Sheets, hired more men and added more trucks to the fleet. It now has more than 330 locations nation wide.

One of those locations is in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and that’s where I first heard about the yearly event they do to give back to the community.

There motto “Movers Who Care” is being put into action with this Movers for Moms event they have teamed up to pull off along with the Teddy Bear Den.

The mission of the Teddy Bear Den is to “to promote healthier pregnancies, healthier babies and a healthier community.” And they are looking for some items to help accomplish that mission.

Among the new items they need:

  • Strollers
  • Clothing Newborn-2T
  • Bath Items
  • Diapers
  • Wipes
  • Bottles
  • Feminine Hygiene Products
  • Hair Care Items

At the time of the writing of this story the greatest need is for feminine hygiene products.

You can drop off your items at the following lcoations:

  • First Lutheran Church
  • Learning Express Children’s Center
  • Tea Tots
  • Great Plains Dental
  • Unclaimed Freight Furniture 12th Street
  • Ashley Furniture (east side)
  • Edison Middle School
  • Sunshine Foods Downtown
  • KoKo Fit Club

Two Men and a Truck are collecting items at the following drop off locations until May 12th, the Friday before Mothers Day.
