Yes, I'm in where it's warm. But as I type this I know many South Dakota folks are not!  I can't help but think about our South Dakota Cattlemen, especially those in western South Dakota right now. It's kind of like here we go again.

The good news is it doesn't sound like we're going to have the incredible amounts of snow that we did have last October but with many ranchers smack dab in the middle of calving season you can't help but feel for them. As of 3:00 p.m. Monday afternoon, Sioux Falls was still at 63 degrees. Huron was at 24 degrees. Rapid City 25 with NW winds gusting to 47. Add to those incredible temperature drops the fierce winds and boom. You have the magic potion for another long 24 to 48 hour period for farmers and ranchers.

We hope that the storm passes quickly and the weather warms up a bit soon. As easy as it is to moan and groan about the weather for us people living in town, you can't help but feel for the folks working out in the weather again Monday. And Monday night. And Tuesday morning.
