Mitchell Woman Gets Jail for Not Submitting Sales Taxes
MITCHELL – A corporate officer with a Mitchell cleaning business has been sentenced to about three months in jail and three years of probation for failing to submit sales taxes in 2007.
Forty-three-year-old Kelly Sterk with Servicemaster by Sterk Inc. must also pay more than $39,000 in restitution, along with a $750 fine.
The Daily Republic newspaper reports that Sterk will be able to keep the felony conviction off her record if she complies with all of the terms of her sentence.
