Mitchell Area Children's Choir is getting a chance of a lifetime. They will sing "The Star Spangled Banner" at an upcoming Minnesota Twins game. The choir was selected after MACC Director Kim Bruguier sent in an audition tape of the kids performing last year at a Sioux Falls Skyforce game. She said the choir was hoping to take a trip to Minnesota to begin with, and when she learned of a chance to perform, she didn't think twice. Bruguier was contacted in December with the offer for her choir to sing the national anthem.

Thirty-seven of the 42 kids will be singing for for the Major League Baseball game on June 11, 2016. The day before the baseball game, MACC will perform its show choir set and spring concert pop songs on an outdoor stage at the Valleyfair amusement park in Shakopee, Minnesota.
