Miranda Lambert recently made a surprise drop-in with Little Big Town at their show in Nashville, but her performance didn't quite go as the country superstar had planned.

Lambert joined the "Girl Crush" singers for two songs on July 29, during LBT's show at Ryman Auditorium, which was part of the band's residency that started in February. One of the songs with Lambert, a cover of the Dixie Chicks' "Goodbye Earl" went off without a hitch, but it was the superstar's own song that gave her some problems.

While singing “Dear Old Sun" — from her platinum-certified 2016 double album, The Weight of These Wings — Lambert simply forgot the lyrics to the second verse. The incident was captured in the video above. She looks at LBT singer Karen Fairchild and says into the microphone, "I forgot the words," to the forgiving and positive roar of the audience. It then clicks with Lambert as she says, "I got it, I got it. Can we start over? Second verse." A bonafide professional, Lambert starts over the second verse and finishes the song, giving the audience a truly unique experience.

After recording over 80 songs in her career, including the recent 24-song album The Weight of These Wings, Lambert definitely deserves a pass on this one, which is most likely why the audience reacted the way they did. The country singer is currently wrapping up her summer tour in the states before beginning a near three-month international tour that lands in England, Ireland, Canada and more.
