Miranda Lambert Bared Her Soul
Miranda Lambert showed the world that she has a heart and that she is human. During Wednesday’s Healing In The Heartland benefit that aired on NBC and KIKN 100.5, she broke into tears while singing “The House That Built Me.”
When she got to the part of the song about planning the family’s home and building it from scratch, “Mama cut out pictures of houses…” she became so choked up she had to aim the mic at the audience to let them finish the verse.
Miranda quickly regained her composure, but the song left her wiping away tears and was a very powerful moment of the show. It left me with a lump in my throat and wanting to do more than just text or call in a donation.
She joined her husband Blake Shelton, along with Reba McEntire, Darius Rucker, Luke Bryan, Rascal Flatts and Vince Gill who came together to raise funds for the tornado victims in Moore, Oklahoma.
You can still donate by visiting the Healing In The Heartland Facebook page, text REBUILD to 52000 to make a one time $10 donation, or call 1-800-890-4999.
