Minnesota Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway will miss the rest of this month's workouts in the Twin Cities and instead will get his knee scoped Wednesday.

Vikings Head Coach Leslie Frazier told Vikings.com:

He had a little tension in his knee.

We just wanted to get it done now rather than run into a situation where we get to [training] camp and it continued to bother him.

The scope comes on the heels of an MRI that showed some things that needed to be cleaned up in All-Pro's knee.

The South Dakota native will miss the final two OTAs along with next week’s three-day mandatory minicamp.  Frazier said Greenway should be healed and ready to go come late July when the Vikings report to Mankato for training camp.

Greenway is scheduled to be in Sioux Falls later this week for the Legends for Kids event.
