If you're old enough and you're from around these parts, chances are you went to a party or two in Milltown, South Dakota. Milltown is a tiny little town of about 10 people tucked into one of the prettiest little places along the James River in South Dakota.

My wife talks about going to see Tommy James and The Shondells at Milltown. It's one of those little towns in South Dakota that people still go through once in a while. This weekend they have a car show going on at Island Park. It's actually more than just a car show. They'll be showing off just about anything you can find that has a motor. Tractors. Mowers, Cars, Pickups and more.

One of the neat things they have going on is The Timed Engine Destruction Event. Yep, they're pretty much going to blow up a car and make some money doing it. This is where  they take tickets to see how long the motor runs without oil.  It’s a 50/50 raffle. 50% to the winner and 50% to the Delmont Tornado Fund.

We talked with John Stainbrook and he said they would have plenty for you to eat too!  The Concessions on the grounds include: J & J Concessions with their Blooming Onions and Dimock Cheese Curds; Scotty D’s with their BBQ meats; and Rita’s with their chicken, hamburgers, and fries.
