(The old bottle on the left, the new design on the right...)

There was a time, like 'bobbing for beers' in college, I could grab a a beer, blind-folded, and correctly guess the brand after a quick feel and a sip.

Has that been 4 decades ago? Sorry, liver.

For  the first time in 40 years, the classic Miller Lite bottle will undergo a major change. And for the first time ever, the top of the bottle is broader than the bottom.

A press release for MillerCoors said "it is intended for easy handling from the bar to the pool table."

"We’re proud of the new design and we’re excited to see how everyone reacts to our new look. This time when you grab a Miller Lite, you’ll know it.” - Ryan Reis, senior director of Miller Lite

If you were completely in love the old design and hate change, take heart. The new bottle is still brown with a blue label. And, of course, it's still the same, cold, crisp, Miller Lite.

And much like my cousin, maybe a little wider, and a stouter neck.
