The Minnesota Vikings injury report has been awful the entire season but now the team has placed Head Coach Mike Zimmer as "out" for tonight's game.

It was reported late Wednesday night that Zimmer had to have immediate emergency surgery on his eye.

His status became certain on Thursday morning when General Manager Rick Spielman announced that Zimmer would be "out" for the game.

Minnesota has had numerous injuries this season that included quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, running back Adrian Peterson, left tackle Matt Kalil, and pretty much the rest of the offensive line. This will be Zimmer's first game missed in his NFL coaching career.

Special teams coordinator Mike Priefer will take over for tonight's game.
