South Dakota native Mike Miller has been traded from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Portland Trailblazers.

The deal was consummated on the idea that this will create future options for the Cavs and save them luxury tax money in the process.

In addition to Miller, Brendan Haywood and some second round picks were sent to the Trailblazers in the process.

Mike Miller is Lebron's boy.  They clearly have a tight relationship, but this was about winning and business.

Miller was a key move the Cavs made during the Lebron transition back home to Cleveland but it just never worked as well as it did in Miami.

Many would think right away health at Mike's age as the contributing factor, but a year before he played 82 games for Memphis and I believe it was more about the fit with the others on the court from a strategical standpoint than it was a health issue.

I would assume Miller tries to get another contract.  Why wouldn't you considering all the money that is being thrown around in today's NBA Free Agency.

Retirement could be a possibility as well and if that was the case, what a career for a skinny kid from Mitchell, SD.
