Midland headed back to Texas to film their "Burn Out" music video, in which they say they channel one of the most memorable cowboy movies of the past 35 years: Urban Cowboy.

The official music video arrives Friday, the trio share via Facebook, but: "Here is a behind-the-scenes look at the shoot. Hope y’all enjoy but more importantly we hope that we make Bud and Sissy proud."

The 1980 film starred John Travolta as Bud and Debra Winger as Sissy, who meet at a local honky-tonk called Gilley's. The movie centers around their budding romance and ongoing quarrels. "Burn Out" the music video was also shot at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth, Texas, and directed by TK McKamy, who collaborated with Midland's Cameron Duddy, who is also a music video director.

"Every one of our heroes is on the walls," frontman Mark Wystrach marvels in the behind-the-scenes clip, taken while on set at the famed honky tonk. "It's the biggest honky-tonk that has this kind of history to it. It's so cool that they're letting us do this here."

A snippet of the music video shows girls square-dancing as Midland sing their new single, "Burn Out," in the middle of the dance floor. The video was shot in one take and also revolves around a couple. "The scene is inspired by the movie. There's a bad guy and there's a good guy," Jess Carson explains. "The good guy is Mark."

Apparently, Wystrach comes in and saves the day for a bartender who is being heckled by a man who desperately wants her attention.

"Burn Out" is Midland's third single following the success of their No. 1 hit, "Drinkin' Problem" and Top 15 song "Make a Little," both off their 2017 debut album On the Rocks.
