Merle Haggard Back On Stage As Health Improves

Those of us who love The Hag (OK, we all love The Hag) got some very good news!

As you know, Merle has been battle some rather severe health issues over the past weeks and months and an announcement was made last week that the country music legend had cancelled the rest of his February shows. Well, now comes word that he's back on stage!

(AP) - Country legend Merle Haggard is back on stage.

A statement from his publicist says the 78-year-old singer performed in Las Vegas on Saturday as previously planned. Haggard had canceled several shows because of health issues caused by pneumonia.

Haggard is planning to make three scheduled dates in California this week, including a show with Kris Kristofferson Thursday in Beverly Hills.
