The other movie to open wide is Captive. It's a film adapted from the book Unlikely Angel: The Untold Story of the Atlanta Hostage Hero written by Ashley Smith. Smith was held hostage in her apartment by Brian Nichols who was on trial for rape when he escaped from custody and murdered the judge presiding over the trial, the court reporter, a sheriff's deputy and a federal agent. Smith began reading Nichols excerpts from the book The Purpose Driven Life and he had a change of heart and surrendered to law enforcement.  Kate Mara plays Ashley Smith.
