At one point of an early moring blaze near Rapid City, a massive fire that claimed the popular Gas Light restaurant was so large 21 emergency agencies responded to extinguish the blaze.

The majority of the fire was under control as of 3:00 am with the help of 43 fire units responding. The first call came in around 10 pm Sunday night.

The Red Cross is the scene ready to assist and the fire will remain under investigation.

Fire crews were still on the scene as of 6:30am.
