Meals fit for a king.  The best of everything that Nazi Germany could provide its supreme leader while countless thousands starved.

According to the Huffington Post, for more than 50 years, Margot Woelk kept her secret. Even from her husband.  Shortly after she celebrated her 95th birthday, she decided to tell her story.  She was Adolf Hitler's food taster.

She kept her secret, living in fear that if someone found out about her wartime role, she would be prosecuted as a Nazi, even though she says she never belonged to the party.

During World War II,  Woelk was in her mid-twenties and spent two and a half years along with 15 other women who sampled Hitler's food to make sure it wasn't poisoned before it was served to him. She worked in the Wolf's Lair, Hitler's secret location in what is now Poland.

Miraculously, she survived the war.  The 15 others weren't as fortunate.
