Police have a partial description to go on as they look for a suspect in a robbery late Sunday night in the West Sioux area of Sioux Falls in which the victim was stabbed.

Officer Sam Clemens says police were called around 9:30 PM to a report of an injured man near the 2100 block of West Madison Street. They found a 43-year-old man had been approached in the parking lot of his apartment building by a man who came up behind him, held a knife to his throat and took his wallet:

The robber ran off with the victim's wallet, cash and credit cards. The 43-year-old victim was treated at a hospital for an injury police say was not life-threatening.

The robber may be a Native American male around six feet tall and wearing a black or dark-colored shirt.
