Luke & Mel are a British country act who've already made an impact in the United Kingdom. And now that they've released their new single "Bad Habit," they want to share the music video with Taste of Country readers first.

The clip opens with a bit of twang and the duo's name on the screen before we see them performing in a small room. In between clips of the full band playing, we see a couple fighting as Mel sings, "You're my bad habit." It's clear the "lovers" in the video are caught in their own bad romance.

"The 'habit' refers to a partner who treats you badly, yet you struggle to let them go," Luke & Mel explain of what the song means to them. "Everybody knows someone who has been in that situation so it's very easy to relate. We shot the video in our hometown of Manchester as we think it makes the perfect edgy backdrop that the song requires."

You'll see beautiful shots of the British city throughout — a charming background to the catchy tune. The duo has been compared to Striking Matches, and you may hear that a little in this song, but they credit someone else as an influence.

"Our influences behind this particular song are Miranda Lambert's strong, kick ass attitude mixed with some very southern bluesy instrumentation," Luke & Mel dish.

Check out the video premiere of "Bad Habits" above, and if you like it, you can snag a copy of the single on iTunes.
