This South Dakota entrepreneur has come a long way.  Rebekah Scott started as a 4 year old girl from Phillip, South Dakota, with her own pint-sized sewing machine and left-over fabric from her mom.  When in college, she started sewing purses to give as gifts, which later turned into purses for a profit.  10 years later, women recognize that her passion has turned into the well known purse line, Rebekah Scott Designs, and Olive Branch, a line for children.

Her studio is located on a farm outside of Valley Springs, South Dakota.  This location is perfect for her because it allows her to be close to her family and continue to design great purses and accessories.

The love of fashion and design for the South Dakota gal is now getting some national attention.  Rebekah Scott Designs is entered into and trying to become one of the top finalists in the 2013 American Made Audience Choice Award Design Contest by Martha Stewart and the editors of "Martha Stewart Living" magazine.  She could eventually win $10,000 to further her business, a trip for two to New York City to attend the American Made Workshop, and become a feature on marthastewart.com.
