Little Jimmy Dickens will begin radiation treatments on his vocal chords this week (July 10). Before the big day, he received a pile of fan letters that may be taller than he is.

The three weeks of short-term radiation will treat a pre-cancerous condition on his vocal chords. He'll begin one week later than anticipated, but doctors still expect him to make a full recovery.

“If those are bills, you can keep ‘em,” Dickens said in front of a bin of letters. “If they’re royalty checks or cards from the best fans in the world, I couldn’t be more excited or appreciative.”
