Liddy Clark reveals an appealing vulnerability with her cover of Brett Young's latest single, "Like I Loved You."

The 18-year-old singer-songwriter puts her own unique spin on Young's current single. She changes the key and adds light percussion and gentle acoustic guitar chords for a more organic-sounding arrangement that keeps the focus on an emotional vocal performance that is beyond her years.

Young wrote "Like I Loved You" with Jesse Lee, and he admits they both drew on personal experience for the track. Clark's interpretation keeps the emotion intact, but her voice and demeanor are very different, and it's interesting to hear the song coming from a female perspective.

Clark has songwriting in her blood. Her cousin is Drew Womack from Sons of the Desert, who's written nine Top 10 songs including Kenny Chesney’s No. 1 hit, "She’s Got It All."

Making a stand is something that's important to the young singer-songwriter, whose music has already been featured on Radio Disney, iHeart Radio and Musical.ly. She has also shared stages with Joe Nichols, Jake Owen, Chris Stapleton, Scotty McCreery, Josh Turner, Sara Evans, David Nail and more, garnered more than a million views on YouTube and built a social media following of more than 500,000.

“I think a lot of young people can relate to being pushed around, and I certainly have had my share of challenges," Clarks says. "With my music, I want to draw a line in the sand and promote being yourself."

Clark's latest single, "Falling Into You," is in current rotation on Radio Disney Country. For more information about the rising country artist, visit her website, or follow her on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
